Tom Johnson, an industry-known fabricator who had been producing cylindrical optics for Perkin Elmer’s Applied Optics Division, Melles Griot and Kaiser Electro Optics since 1964, formed the company.
Cylinder Optics, Inc. now employs 4 personnel who all play an intricate role in the manufacturing of our optics. Roberto M. Quezada (Bobby) has been with us for 9 years and is now our Head Manufacturer. He works directly with the President, Tom Johnson, in producing the very best specialized cylindrical optics in the industry. Jennifer L. Stanton Started with Cylinder Optics in 1997 as the Office Manager. Over the years she has also earned her position as our lead optician taking care of more work spindles than anyone else has in the shop. Jay D. McClintock was brought to Cylinder Optics for his knowledge of computers and programming. His initial task was to integrate CNC machining with cylinder manufacturing. Jay is the VP of Operations for Cylinder Optics, Inc. and has now been with us for 2 years. Our newest and brightest employee is Wayne W. Bollinger who earned his degree from Electronics Institute of Technology in 2002. We hired Wayne knowing that the future of Cylinder Optics, Inc. was going to evolve into a more technologically advanced Corporation. As we bring more CNC machining to the forefront of Optical Manufacturing, we will need young intelligent employees such as Wayne to help lead the way.
